Quick tips

Word 2007/10

You’ve just started using Word 2007/10.
You try to start a new line of text by pressing the enter key.  It always worked okay before, but now it spaces your line by 10pts.
Try holding the Shift key down while you press enter.
A great new feature in Word, no longer a need to press enter twice to space paragraphs!
Shift+Enter starts new lines not paragraphs See how it works on Bulleted and Numbered lists as well.

Excel all versions

You need to quickly make a Chart in Excel

So long as your datasheet is not too large, just click anywhere in the data range and press the F11 key on the keyboard

Saving Files all versions of Office

You want to save a file using SAVE AS
Forget the Mouse clicks just press the F12 key

Keeping Toolbar buttons switched on

You get fed up of keep going back to the Toolbar/Ribbon button to draw the same shape (Lines etc.)

In 2007/10 right click the button and choose “Lock Drawing Mode”. In earlier versions simply double click the button.
Don’t forget the single click to turn it off.  Many other buttons work like this as well.
